I had an insem using fresh chilled sperm on a Monday at 1:00 p.m. then ovualted at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. I have read that it takes sperm about 10 hours to maneuver the female reproductive tract. If so, do you think timing was right?
I believe sperm can live inside a women if she is ovulating up to 48 hours. It is definetly possible that it took. If you read up on that, you will find out exactly how long sperm lives. It can only live outside the body for maybe an hour or so (if that), but inside, if your ovulating up to 48 hours. Good luck and best wishes. I hope you are successful.
sperm can live in the fallopian tubes for 72 hours. The uterus, less time. Outside the woman's body, about 2 or 3 hours.
So, did the insemination work? Did you do IUI, IVF? I'm curious cause I'm going to be doing egg retrieval next week for IVF with my husbands fresh sperm.
