Very low cholesterol & miscarraige

My husband & I are planning to start a family this year. Problem: my serum cholesterol is extremely low at 109. I read in an article that cholesterol below 100 can trigger a miscarraige because mom's body needs a certain amount of cholesterol to support fetal development. The article gave no more information than that. Has anybody heard of this. My doctor didn't know anything about it but I am concerned. I am a normal weight and eat a fairly high fat diet already.
