Are you trying to get pregnant?
You can be pregnant and still have a blood flow. It is not really a period, but an imbalance of hormones, so people will do this for a few months or the whole nine months at the time they would normally have their period. Since you were 8 days early, not knowing how long your cycle is, and since it was light, it could be implantation bleeding. This happeneds after conception when the fetus attatches itself to the uterine wall. In which case you would be pregnant.
I would wait until the time you were actually due to have your period and then if it doesn't come take a HPT (home pregnancy test)
Are your cycles very regular? Since it was light your body may have been low on estrogen.
