Chlomid after ectopic pregnacy?

Does anyone have (or know of) any good results of using chlomid after having a ectopic pregnancy? My doctor has mentioned using chlomid but he is concerned of a second ectopic due to one tube being partially blocked. I see a specialist later this month and seeing as we have tried everything else he feels chlomid is what they will want to try next. Anything will be appriciated!

Re: Chlomid after ectopic pregnacy?

I had a tubal October of 1999 after previously being on Clomid and then off for a month. After my ectopic, my doctor put me back on Clomid and we tried IUI (intra-uterine insemination). That did not work after 3 tries and another surgery to try to unblock the tubes, so now we are trying IVF; 1st cycle canceled due to immature follicles; now we're starting our second cycle of IVF. Good luck to you.

Re: Chlomid after ectopic pregnacy?

Thanks for the info. I havent been on the chlomid before and am warry of trying it.My first Dr said the ectopic was a fluke, but after having several problems w/ that dr i changed and now have a dr that will listen and run tests. My previous dr caused more problems with the surgery he did so now we have to fix that first. I have had the dye test to check for blockage in my tubes and have one good tube and a partially blocked tube. Hopefuly they will be able to find the problem. My hubby says that after six years of problems to relax and try and wait two weeks, but they are still long weeks. Thanks again and good luck with yours, I hope all goes well
