well I had my laproscopy done on the 23rd of Jan. Had mild endrom. which was lasered off. but, BUT I found out that ...yes both tubes have been open this whole time...I had the "DYE" test done and it showed that my left tube was closed. Well, that was WRONG!!!!! when I first went to my speicalest, he even said that sometimes when the dye goes in the tubes may close up because of the dye. So here we are 41/2 years of no birth control, both tubes open, my prolactin level is stead, with the help of meds. so the next step for us is clomid with insemination. so we have decided to take a break and LIVE again and then start in 6 to 9 months. by the way to those who might have to do the "dye" test. it's not that bad, crampy, you want to push down on your stomache, you may want to kick the doctor in the face, but really, it's not that bad. think of your worse period times it by 20, but then remember it goes away in a few minutes to a dull ache for the rest of the day and by the next day you feel okay....
Re: both tubes open 4years no birth control & nothing
Hi Laura, this is Leslie, I believe we have spoke before. Just wanted to tell you, that a very good friend of mine is going through something simular to your situation. BUT, they also put her on clomid and in 3 months, it did the trick <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif"> Maybe this is just what you need?!! She had been trying for over 2 years! I understand that you want to take a break, should be very good for you. Enjoy yourself, try to rest and relax...I said "try"..I know how hard it is. Maybe the clomid and the break is just what you need, I hope so, for you. Thought this might be a little hope for you. Good Luck! Leslie

Hello Laura, my name is Natalie. I can't believe how similar our situations are! I don't know why, but when you find someone in the same situation as yourself, it's a bit of a relief.
I have been off the pill for over 3 years now and have been properly "trying" for at least 2 years. I have also been told that my tubes are clear, although the dye didn't go into the left tube. Although I have been told I don't ovulate well! I too am on clomid and this is my fourth cycle on it. I am having blood tests every day from day 11 until ovulation occurs - when the I'm told to go home and do the inevitable!
I just wanted to say that because of the stress of being told when to have sex and having it quite regularly, we have begun to use lubrication. I was quite distressed to read that lubrication can kill sperm! Yet another obstacle.
