I have very weak and low counts of sperms. Motility is also low. We have been through ICSI 6 times, my wife got pregnant 2 times but it did not last for more than 3-4 weeks.
is there any way the sperm conditions can be improved????
and is the condition of the sperm is affecting the continuation of the pregnancy after lab injection ????
any suggestions ????
I'm sorry to hear about your losses. Has your wife been tested for hormonal defficiancy? If she has concieved twice, that is a really good sign, maybe her progesterone level is too low to support a pregnancy. Are they giving her progesterone suppositories after the inseminations? I had to do this to maintain my first pregnancy. I wish you the best of luck and I will be praying for you and your wife!

My husband had low sperm counts and low motility also. He isn't a big drinker, but he totally stopped drinking and his sperm count doubled and his motility went from 32% to 55% in two weeks! Our infertility specialist also mentioned tobacco can contribute to low sperm count and low motility rates. FYI. Best of luck to you.<p>[This message has been edited by JJWray (edited 01-03-2001).]
The lowest count I ever had was -0- sperm. See your Urologist who specializes in Male infertility. I was given clomid, 1/2 pill taken daily for 25 days then 5 days off. Have a count performed. Then repeat for another 30 days, test and so on. I did this for a total of 90 days. My count increased to 3 million which was a huge improvement. I also had surgery to correct a vein problem and had a biopsy of both testicles. See your doctor and ask what can be done. I am now a dad of 19 week old twins thru IVF.
Good luck and don't give up.
