Unhappy What if Clomid Doesn't Work?

My DH and I have been TTC for a while now and I was put on Clomid because my cycles were VERY irregular and I wasn't ovulating. I have completed 2 Clomid cycles and I am still not ovulating. I started on 50mg, then to 100mg, and I will be starting 150mg (the highest my OB will prescribe) in a couple weeks.

Has any one experienced this same thing? What are the other options if the Clomid doesn't work this round? I really don't think we can afford IVF.

Don't worry- I've answered your other question but there's a long way to go before you have to consider IVF.
If the measures I mentioned in the other post don't work (thyroid hormone, metformin, diet change), there's always injectable FSH (gonal F), which can also be combined with IUI for greater chances of success if you do ovulate. It's much more successful than clomid at forcing ovulation. Does your insurance cover any fertility medication?

Re: What if Clomid Doesn't Work?

Have you been doing ovulation tests? I am somewhat in the same boat, 2 yrs TTC, no BFP, husband did an SA everything fine, I had all these tests (hsg, bloods, progesterone, fsh) and am fine, clomid for 9 months and nothing, but I do ovulate. Makes no sense to me. Diet def helped me be more positive about all of it. I am going to a fertility specialist soon as my OB is the one who did all that other stuff. Sometimes I wonder if these Drs even know what they are doing. Does your Dr monitor your cycles on clomid with ultrasounds to measure the follicles?
