Hi Subs

Hi you,

Noticed you've been on a little "vacation," as have I for the past week. Made arrangements to meet a fellow dizzy who happens to be in the same department (history) of my university, which was a no-no. Now I'm back and on my best behavior!

Quick question: once you'd basically gotten to 100%, did you have that constantly "looking over the shoulder" sensation? Since I got rid of my cold a week ago or so, I've been in 98-100% range physically, but I can't quite shake that "am I feeling it?" mentality. It seems to be quite a hurdle. I'm definitely better when I'm busy. I walked 13 miles yesterday and didn't feel it once. I'm on the downhill side of my degree (thesis defense is Friday), so there's less work to be done on it and hence more free time to think about this stupid inner ear crap! How did you get past this, if you felt it at all?

Cool Re: Hi Subs

HeyTerri

...."I walked 13 miles yesterday and didn't feel it once."....

Now that just about says it all----I'm at 100%---and I do not think I could do that----nice going.....Terri if you can do that---I think it has departed the building!!

...."contsantly "looking over the shoulder" sensation?"....

Do you mean from a balance stand point? Never had it that way.

If you mean from oh-o is this feeling I just got mean it is coming back---there was a little of that after 100%---but it did not last long---it was more pronounced---in the beginning of the 100%---if I did not stay active(mind/physical)......

Good luck on the "thesis defense"!

Hey you should be busy planning the trip.......??

Re: Hi Subs

Terri

Are you doing a PhD. In what? Which university?

In aswer to your previous question - I am an Oregon native and my wife is Washington state. Our Mt. Hood home was in Welches and we lived for many years in Hood River and Bend. I know Cooper Spur well

Re: Hi Subs

Subs: Thanks for the quick reply. Of course, as soon as I wrote to you I've been having a 100% day, so what the heck. I think, like you described your ascent to 100%, it's the first few days and maybe even a couple weeks or so until you get several consecutive days like that under the belt before it gets out of the mind. I did mean from the o-oh standpoint. I've just realized that the more 100% days I have, the more I'm not second guessing every weird sensation that might come down the pike.

Thanks for the well-wishes on the thesis. I take the courage of everyone here on the boards with me everywhere I go, and Friday will be no exception!!

Yes, the trip is planned. 5 days in London (hbep has been a peach with restaurant suggestions, etc.), 5 days in Ghent (outside Brussels), and 4 days in Amsterdam. Can't wait!!

Cheers to you. Glad you're still doing so well. Don't really imagine you'll ever not be

Emsy: We'll save a seat on the bench for you!!

James (R): I'm glad you figured out my alter ego . I'm not getting a Ph.D., but a Masters degree in History. They don't have a doctoral program in history at PSU, unfortunately.

Wow, Bend AND Hood River. Two premier spots for the outdoorsy types. My husband's brother lives in Bend and has taught and coached football at Bend High for 16 years. Next fall, he's headed over to the arch-rival's camp at Mt. View. It's a great place.

I hope you are feeling better!

Terri
