I went to my GP yesterday as my left ear was feeling very stuffed up, he took a look and said there was some mucous behind the left eardrum, no infection. He said to leave it and it would drain. Have any of you guys ever had this, is it an after-effect of Labs/VN?
I dont know about the mucus but I had fluid behind my eardrums in January...I'm not sure if the doctor meant that that was mucus though....anyways she told me that fluid usually gathers behind the eardrums when you've been sick and the ducts get clogged up so is that a possiblity for you?
I often wondered why my ears would feel blocked sometimes, at least now I know that feeling is coming from the middle ear.
I'm wondering if Labs can sometimes leave a weakness in this area. A nurse friend of mine had Labs for 6 months a couple of years ago, she says most times when she gets a cold now, it usually develops into a middle ear infection. Something she never suffered with before, she puts that down to Labs. Possible I suppose.
Most def. I originally thought I'd developed a E tube prob due to labs but think its all part if it as you say. My ears are generally more sensitive - to pressure, to colds, to infections etc. Def part of the dreaded Labyrinthitis xxx
