Hi Tess,
Hope you had a relaxing weekend and you are feeling refeshed and ready for a new week.
The rafting trip went fine. I have to admit, that the closer it came time for us to leave, the more nervous I got, I almost decided not to go. We arrived on Saturday afternoon (a 2 hour car trip) and did some hiking around and then went to the campground for dinner and rest. We didn't have great weather, it was pretty cold and rainy, so I can't say that I slept very well, and I think my anxiety was getting the best of me, too. Sunday morning we got up pretty early, ate some breakfast and then got in vans to get to our launch point on the river... it was an hour drive... on windy roads.

Needless to say I was a little off by the time we got the boat in the water. I felt okay once we were moving and we hit some crazy rapids! It was when we stopped for lunch that I had some trouble walking around on the river banks, but my husband and all my friends did a great job of helping me to get me around. The second half of the trip was a lot easier than the first, only a few rapids to go through and I felt pretty good.
I'm sure it was a combination of the lack of sleep, the rafting, the van ride and the 2 hour drive home... I was pretty dizzy once I got home and even had some trouble reading before bed last night. I'm still feeling more dizzy than usual today, I did carpool with a friend to get to work, I was a little nervous to drive myself. But all in all, I don't regret taking the trip, I had a great time and it was worth it, even if I'm still pretty spinny today.
How are you feeling? Hope you're doing well!
