I havent been on here in a really long time becuase Ive been back up at school, but I recently went to a optometrist who speicializes in what is called vertical heterophoria. Just some background on me..Ive had every test a dizzy person could have, CT scans, MRI's, ENG's, audiograms. I am very very fortunate to say they have all come back perfectly normal. Ive been dizzy for about 6 months now and can remember being worried I felt dizzy when I was a kid. (i know that sounds weird) But anyways, I was diagnosed with VH and my doctor has helped about 700 people with my same case. Dizzy for a long time, headaches, all those wonderful symptoms. VH is when your eyes do not align correctly which causes strain on your eye muscles, therefore causing dizziness and headaches. I was not surprised because if both of my eyes are seeing at a different level, of course that would cause dizziness and strain. Sooooo, she fit me with a pair of what are called prism glasses which are to make my eyes see on the same level again. I wore the glasses within 30 minutes and she compared tests from before and after the 30 mins, and she already noticed a difference in my muscle tension in my eyes. I know from when I was on the boards alot, I came across many many people who had the same problem as me...we just don't know why we feel like crud all the time! I just wanted to share this information with all of you, in case you are in a rut like I was, or if you are taking a long time to compensate. VH could be hindering your compensation. So like I said, just wanted to share this with all of you. Reply with some feedback about what you think!
