| Re: Woo Hooooo...No More BPPV!!!!
Just want to jump in here to ask if I am correct in thinking that not all BPPV will ever come back.
Does it not depend on the cause? If the BPPV is caused by a head trauma or inner ear injury from, say, labs or VN, is it not potentially a one time issue and once the crystals have dissolved or re-attached, and then the sufferer can be free from BPPV? If however it is a condition as Spikey discussed where the inner ear is dropping the crystals (not the same ones over and over but new ones) from a condition due to a problem with the nerve supplying the inner ear and what she called a poorly nourished inner ear, then the chances of recurrence are higher.
Do I have this right? I also understand that age is related here.
And yes this is hopefull thinking on my part, not being too old and having had a bad case of labs which I blame my BPPV on, I would like to think this puppy is gone for good. Quincy has suggested several times that it is a remission and as his has recurred for many years, is this the potential for all BPPV sufferers???
Anyone? Subs?
