feeling of falling when i lay down

drove over high altitude. next morning jumped out of bed and hit the wall!! after the dizziness passed i was fine. drove back over the high altutde again and when i got up the next day i couldnt look up,down, left right. and when i'd go to bed i'd feel like i was suddendly falling! pressure on my forhead and a vibrating-pounding feeling...quite scary after a few days it was only when i layed down and after a few weeks it wasnt as severe. it used to wake me up when i'd roll over. now its mild. takes longer to happen when i lay down. goes away pretty quick. ive been on meclazine and antibiotics. slight inflamed sinasis. clear ears. no cold. cough. still researching. got any ideas?

Re: feeling of falling when i lay down

I know one inner ear disorders that can cause these symptoms when at high altitude...a perilymph fistula. Best thing is to goto an ENT or a neurologist. The high altitude can also just be a coinecsendence too when this all happened....
