Dizziness

I suffer with extreme dizziness/vertigo sometimes when I move my head quickly ie, look up, turn round, and this has got worse just lately, sometimes it is followed by a headache. The actual vertigo only lasts a few seconds. I am wondering if it an inner ear problem as I do sometimes experience fullness in my ears also and popping sounds, although having read up about migrane I am wondering if it coud be that. Any suggestions anyone

Thanks,

Re: Dizziness

Hi There
sounds like you may have BPPV which is fully explained on the sticky post (the very first post on this board). If you do have it, you need to figure out which ear is affected and try some canalith repositioning maneuvers to get the "rocks" in your inner ear back where they belong. Right now they are out of place and every time you move your head they feed your brain mixed signals as to how you are postiioned...not a great explanation! There are videos and diagrams of how to do these maneuvers to help you.
Good luck
FC
