Exclamation Balanceofchicago

I would like to know the next move for my VRT's I want to increase them gradually but not sure how to go about it. I will tell what I do. I do them 2X a day

Balance

*Stand still for 30 secs
*Tip head up and down 10 times
*Turn head side to side 10 times

Toe to Heel

*Take 30 steps Heel to toe while moving head side to side
*Take 30 steps Heel to toe while moving head up and down
*Rock on feet shoulder length apart 1 min
*Stand on one foot 1min then the other foot

Head Tip

*Tip head up and down 1 min
*Turn head side to side 1 min

Business card Still

*Focus on the letter turn head side to side 1 min
*Focus on the letter tip head up and down 1 min

Business Card moving

*Focus on letter turn head side to side while moving the card opposite 1 min
*Focus on letter tip head up and down while moving card opposite 1 min

Head to Knee

*Tip head towards right knees 5 times
*Tip head towards left knee 5 times

Baby Toys

*Walking briskly bend over and pick up an object (baby toys)
*If you have little ones repeat 1,000 times a day *sigh*

So What should I increase??? They have actually given me a few more good days than before!

Re: Balanceofchicago

I would say try doing them on a cushion, or rug with high pile.

Re: Balanceofchicago

Here are some suggestions:

Balance:
Stand still with eyes closed, on a cushion or pillow.
Stand toe to heel without moving, eyes open/eyes closed/on a pillow or cushion

Toe to heel:
Stand on one foot with eyes closed, can also repeat on cushion

Business Card Still & Moving:
You can do this while walking forward/backward or doing any of the balance/toe to heel exercises.
You can have a busy background, such as a checkerboard, in the background

You can identify movements that increase your symptoms. Try to break it down, take one piece of it and repeat it, over time build up your number of repetitions like you do with the 1 min head turns.

Keep up the good work!
Joni
