Question....

Ok every year for the past two years my friend and I take the canoe out for a mommy day free of kids and husbands. Well we have planned it for the 25the of this month. For those of you brave souls who have attempted to do this kinda thing fighting this illness what can I expect. Is there a chance it may not bother me to much. Resting on a raft in a pool for a few hours only gave me a few seconds of off balance maybe canoing wont be so bad either???

Re: Question....

My experience with swimming hasn't been so great with this junk. Even if I just "wade" in a pool, I feel nauseated and "seasick" afterwards. Not trying to be a downer though. You might want to go for it, but bring some Dramamine or Ativan or something to dull the motion. Personally I would find something else to do with your friend that doesn't involve so much motion!

Re: Question....

I've just started taking my daughter to pools...I understand the fear. When I feel a bit "nauseas"...I close my eyes for a min...and take some nice deep breaths. I think of how this ain't gonna kill me...

and try to press on.

You are going to do great.
