Ok so a little reassurance that this is normal and will pass.....Soon after recovering fron my "blip" from starting my new VRTs I had 2-3 weeks of "good" days. They werent 100% but probably 80%. Then I had "bad" days 50-60%. It has been like 2 weeks now of bad days. I mean COME ON NOW!!! Am I going to have good days soon?? Thia is crazy! Does most people at my stage of this illness have such long decomps and long good days?? I am not compaining about my good days just surprised that it lasted so long. Is that why the bad days are so long?? What is going on here!!! And those who are farther in you recovery at what month or year mark did your patterns or %'s were like this??Im going to have better days right?? This decomp cant last forever can they??
D&S, most of my blips during compensation lasted about 4 weeks...I think it all depends on the injury to your ear and its hard to compare yourself to others. But overall, it sounds like you are on the right track to recovery...during these blips, just think that your brain is learning everything from the last few weeks when you felt good. You are doing well. Just keep it up!
Most of my blips were about 3-4 weeks long, that gets shorter as time goes on, nealy 2 years in now and they only seem to last 5-7 days and I don't get so many. . . . .touch wood, fingers crossed etc. . . I would say it was 12 months before I really noticed an improvement in the bad days.
Sorry to have to say this but it does take time.
Thanks all I know it takes time I used to have 2-3 good days then 10-11 bad days. That was the cycle then i had 2-3 WEEKS of good days and now 2 weeks of bad days just wondering where this cycle would turn out....
