Ticklish feeling in my ear

I've had tinniitis in my left ear for a few years now (so did my father). I may have it in my right ear to but I don't notice it. Anyway, my audiogram showed that I do have some hearing loss in both ears but more in my left. It's still within normal range tho. Sometimes when I lay my head down to the left I get a funny ticklish feelining deep inside. At first I thought possibly a mosquito flew in there and it scared me but I realize now that it's just something that I feel occasionally in that ear only. ENT says my ears look fine but I'm scheduled to have more tests run soon. Has anyone else had this funny ticklish feeling?

Re: Ticklish feeling in my ear

Yes, I have had that feeling in my ear as well, like an ant crawled in there and is moving around the tiny little hairs. ICK! I honestly don't know what causes that except maybe allergies? I have also heard on that same side, fluttering like a moth was in there. Sorry, not much help, but at least your not alone!

Re: Ticklish feeling in my ear

Not sure about the itching deep inside, but the fluttering is a form of tinnitus just like hearing your heartbeat is.. Just another strange symptom I guess.

To allay your fears.. No bug can crawl into your ear and get past the ear drum. If they did, they would have to eat through it and it would rupture causing you different trouble.

maybe what is itching is your eustacion tube... possible inflammation in there??
