My doc actually admitted this to me, he said that the men don't open up to emotions like women do (i think he's saying they don't cry in front of him) so they don't see the anxiety in them so consider other routes, like the physical symptoms, where as he sees an upset woman and immediately wants to stop that crying, not taking into account their physical symptoms.
