Almost 2 years update

hey guys! well the doctors seem to be right. when i was dx'ed back in sept of 05 with VN i was told it could be around 2 years before im better. recovery is up and down. well it is a month before my 2 years and i am 95% better! i still have moments and certain things that throw me off but its Mild and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. this has been the worst 2 years of my life no question but im happier now than i was.

my main problem still is Anxiety. i get worked up very easy about everything!!! its getting better too but its my struggle still. being able to do things i couldn't do for so long feels soooo good. and its funny because you don't realize that you can do them again until you find yourself just doing them.....if that makes sense.

anyways at almost 2 years i am 95% better.

Re: Almost 2 years update

That is GREAT!!!! I am so happy for you! So if you recover 100% a little over 2 years, so what. As long as you are recovered that's whats important! Soon, you will forget about this whole ordeal and it will be a faded memory. YEA for you!!!! Your blips will soon go to!!

Re: Almost 2 years update

Hi comeandrelax,

It's good to hear that you are almost fine. I assume you have a unilateral damage. So, could you recall how much was the damage (e.g, 60% etc)? What drugs did you take this time?

Was you recovery pattern like some days good and then some bad?

I am recovering from VN as well and trying to qantify how much time it might take if the damage is this much.

Thanks

Re: Almost 2 years update

they never actually told me to what extent the damage was. they just said i had nerve damage. how long into this are you??

yes recovery is very up and down. it stinks but knowing that ahead of time helps

Re: Almost 2 years update

and with the drugs i only took Xanax but i took it alot over a long period of time and i think that is one reason it took so long to get to where i am.
