Question 3 months now...why not one normal day yet?!?!

hey everyone, hope the weekend is going well.

i have been wondering how long it will take to have a normal day? i know it is different for everyone, and it is hard for me to understand what direction to go without a diagnosis as of yet. i am hitting the 3 month mark and i have yet to have one normal day without the weird vision (still shaky and wavy) as of yet. again, i feel like i have come a little bit since the beginning of this, but why not a normal day yet? i feel like i am going insane! i have been off the xanax for 3 days now.....boy it has been hard. but i was only taking 1/4 of a .25mg anyway at night, so i think it may have took some time to fully get out of my system.

i finally got some insurance---thank goodness---and will have to see a PCP first, and then on to another neurotologist that i have read about outside of town. maybe an answer there??? *fingers crossed*

at this point, have had the MRI and EEG-came back normal. been prescribed Neurontin, which i have only taken once (it knocked me on my butt), for suspicion of MAV-but i don't have history of migraines. of course the idiot neurotologist i went to just "thought" meniere's disease and gave me a diuretic......he didn't LISTEN at all!! i don't have hearing loss and i dont have attacks....it is 24/7!!! grrrr.

so anyone else with this stupid vision junk see any normal days after a while?? if so, how long? what should i do in the mean time before hitting up the other dr?

thanks everyone
