Ok, well, I have the same symptoms no matter if I am to the left, right, up or down. I love laying down and being still, resting is the best. My doctor wants to "cause" symptoms by laying me down quick to the left or right side, and I say "no, it is not that way, it is when I get back up" and he says hmmm?!? I have really had some of my worst days ever this last week since it started in Sept. of 2006. Missed days of work, yuk! Don't know what else to do. I went out and walked with my 2 little girls in the stroller on Saturday for 40 minutes, worked up a sweat, then came back and took a nap. After that felt even worse, I can't believe it. Exercise is usually on my side.
Started almost 1 year ago this month. Ug! Had a c-section in June 06, a cold for 2 weeks in September 06, then one day, BAM!!!!!!!! Been with me ever since. Been to my MD like 8 times, the ENT around 4 times, to the Neuro only once and got the nerve meds(Lyrica) which on the bottle says "may cause dizziness". I have an ENG scheduled at Central Michigan University on Oct. 11, then after that may persue a surgeon at the University of Michigan to see if they can cut the nerve that controls the balance in that ear. Oh Joy! Trying to liver every moment to the fullest still with my kids(1 Year old daughter, 2 Year old daughter, and 3 Year old son) and I am still trying to work full time, believe me I am almost to the end of my rope.
Sounds like what happened to me. I also had BPPV too. Did you get checked for BPPV? I really would do VRTS, many of us on this board will swear to them and many helped them get to 100%, and still there. Did your ENT recommend you to a vestibular rehab therapist? Sorry for all the questions.
