Water in ear won't go away... - Inner Ear Disorders Message Board

Any ideas how to get water out of an ear? It's been there for about 4 months & it is starting to drive me crazy. Tried steroids, nasal spray & allegra with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been dizzy & lightheaded lately with periodic ear pain.

My sister had the same problem, in the end it started to make her feel ill because she couldn't hear properly. turns out she had wax and the water was behind it, she had to get the wax soft enough first before it could be removed and the water drained out. It took quite a long time. Don't mess with it, go to the doctor.

You could try Hopi Candles they help dry out the ears and remove the wax, nice and relaxing too.

I have been to my doctor about it. I was on allegra, nasonex & then she put me on a steroid of some sort...

I did already try the ear candles months ago with no luck.

I am going to go back to my doctor about it next week, but I thought maybe there was something I could do in the meantime or some other easy treatment I could do myself.
