Guys, PLEASE read the mal de debarquement thread that I just started below. This individual responded, and I just can't believe what he is telling me. I thought my anxiety was high before, I just didn't need to believe something like this was possible. I need some more eyes on this story. This is truely unbelievable. This individual is claiming he has been BEDRIDDEN for 10 years with what seems to be a migraine or mal de debarquement condition and it's terrorfying just to read. Could others please read his story as well. He responded to my thread and the story is not only heart breaking, it's horrorfying at the same time. I can't understand how something like this could possibly happen. He's the same age as I am!!!

Try to remain calm. I read your most recent post with all of the follow up q's and I think you made a valid point. There are lots of questions to be answered in alive76's case. Remember, everyone goes through this a little bit differently and while there will be the extremes and everything in between, it does not affect you and how you will get through this. You have an insanely positive attitude about figuring all of this out and that is what will get you back on the track to good health and the ability to be there 100% for those little kids. Remember what you told me--you said not to let your symptoms freak me out, well don't let other people freak you out, especially when you don't know all the answers yet! Part of the risk we run by being on this forum is reading things that might scare us a little. I would be interested to know more from alive76 including where he's from--not the moon?? Hang in there.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. Do I suspect that will happen to me?? No, I'm not saying that, but my GOD it shouldnt' have happened to him!!

If you are still out there, please respond. i want to help you. you need a better doctor my friend. 10 years bedridden with a doctor who just comes by "once in a while" is ridiculous. Unless there is more to the story I don't know, I think you are being mistreated!!

i appreciate your comments. i still think someone needs to get you to a hospital and admit you to try and help you. you DESERVE the help. you are a human being and deserve the attention like anyone else. do i think this will happen to me for no reason?? absolutely not. i will not end up bed-ridden due to fear alone, i guarantee it. unless there is a root cause keeping me there, i will continue to move around. but i can't understand how fear got you so bad that you just took to bed and that was it, and no meds are helping. perhaps there is an underlying medical condition that the doctors have not uncovered? i genuinely am interested in seeing you OUT of bed, not just in NOT seeing myself end up where you are.
