Ear feel's num and blocked. - Inner Ear Disorders Message Board

Hi i am new to this form i am 16.
This morning i got up and my ear feelt num and blocked and still does. When i sniff i can feel something in my right ear (the one that is num and blocked).
Plz i need to now wat to do i am going for a scan at hosse in october so plz help me befor then.

Its very possible you could have a ear infection or a sinus infection. I have had a blocked ear for over a month now, I did see the Dr. and got some antibiotics, It still hasn't cleared up yet. Some of my co-workers are having the same problem so it may just be something going around. Please go have it checked. It takes a while for this thing to go away.

I woke up one morning about 8 weeks ago with the same thing-Ears feel full and side of the head and ear are numb. Been to the ENT Dr twice. Had high doses of steriods for a week. Have trouble hearing high pitched sounds. No fluid in the ears, no sinus problems, haven't even had a cold to blame it on. All they have come up with for it is "a virus". It isn't getting any better so I am probably going to pursue a second opinion. Hope it worked out for you.
