Some info: In case you weren't told, & most aren't,
most problems are clumped into Eustachian Disorder,ETD.
These tubes are located in the back of `throat'. They
then go `up' to connect @ the ears `tympanic cavity'.
This is behind your eardrum. Yawn & you tug on the ET.
Swallow or chug water = same. A click sound may be ET
snapping walls @ narrow part. Popping is air force try-
ing to pressurize like the mountains. These problems
are awful & I don't belive any ENT knows how to fix or
I'd be there w/ $ in hand. Sometimes the tube sticks
& gas forms causing fluid deep in ear. There are trials @ UCLA trying to `tube the tube' in serious
non-motor patients. `You're born w/ auto-working ears
& now brain won't make it happen'. Most ENT's aren't
trained to think out-of-the-box. 8 yrs. of suffering to extreme, I got med-bks & told a Dr. I know i'm dying so humor me. I had a simple Coronal CT & they
found a tumor had engulfed rt. Maxillary, melted bone @
temple to ear & on it's way to my brain. 16 docs & not one would `think'. 4 surgeries later to access it, the surgeon said it was obvious to him on film but he might have missed symptoms also since it was so rare.
Guess I now have ear atrophy. Brain won't pop ear. Ear tubes failed after 2 weeks. Had 3. Allergy test = Neg. Nasal drip could be due to inflammation of system, like your inside tissue is sweating. Hope I can help
someone to keep pushing & replace the MD if they're not
thinking! If it was their daughter, (expert guns in!) |
