No ear pain... just ear fullness.... - Inner Ear Disorders Message Board

Why the heck do I have ear fullness? Sometimes it is worse than others, but I can always make my eustachian tubes "unstick." I mean I can kind of "yawn internally" and have them make a "unsticky" typoe noice sort of like to damp surfaces being removed from each other. Hard to explain but the ENT seems to think everything is alright and that it should go away on its own... have any of you had this type of symptom. My other symptoms like naseau and "vertigo" and/or headaches have all seemingly left so I am assuming things are getting better... but this ear thing is just sooo annoying because no one (including my ENT and I) know what it is. He did say that it was possible to get a virus that can infect the eustachian tubes... so hopefully that was it and it is just taking an incredibly long time to go away?

Dustin, just curious...how long have you had symptoms?

Your Eustachian tubes are getting stuck closed, basically this is glue ear, something I'm currently trying to shake.

Fluid builds up in the middle ear and the ET's are to inflamed to allow it to clear.

The valsalva manoeuver (close mouth, pinch nose, try to blow out of nose) should help.

I have this same problem now. My ENT is not sure where to begin to determine the cause. Basically I have hearling loss because of it, my ears feel full, some days they don't feel too bad, others days my ears are stuffed right up. I Had vertigo for 3 weeks once, and i get nasous on occasion, usually toward the end of a long day. The ENT was thnking I had an inner ear infection, or Meniere's disease. I am not sure because a lot of my symptoms can fall into most categories.

I've had this feeling for a few months now.... The ENT has no idea and since my symptoms have been getting less and less he simply hopes that this feeling and the "symptoms" that go along with it will go away by themselves. I hope that too... I just hope its SOON because this is annoying stuff.

If you guys know anything or have any idea what this might be please comment... I think its some fluid that in my eustachian tubes because I feel some relief when I run my fingers down the sides of my neck right behind my ears.

Anyway, thanks for any advice any of you can provide.
