Haemophilus Influenzae causing decomp?
so i've posted about my decomp after almost 4 years now..
i orginally was told i had VN with 40% weakness in left ear. took 2 years before i was 100% with ups and downs.. felt fine for a while with a few weird decomps here and there..
anyway, this past feb. i got hit with a nasty bug which gave me pneumonia.. i would get rid of it, and it'd come back, took antibiotics and it'd come back... finally i just loaded up on herbs and was able to not get knocked down sick but still had a cough which would not go away...
then, a few days before i went on more antibiotics i found out through a sputum sample that i had Haemophilus Influenza which is from kids (i'm a teacher) and can cause meningitis in children i guess.
anyway, does anybody know about this bug and if it can cause inner ear damage? i was wondering because i had this thing for about almost 5 MONTHS.. which was rediculous..
could this cause such a decomp after 4 years from initial bout? or did this cause a whole new set of damage to vestibular nerves?
i looked up on one site that said this thing likes to invade the middle ear causing ear infections, and also that it could be one of the bacterial causes for VN.... any truth to this?
by the way, is it normal to get a decomp when you think you're getting over the bug? that is, you're not in the middle of being sick, its almost like it hits you after.
