I have posted a few times explaining I have PET symtoms which I am in process of trying to get a correct diagnosis on. But I thought I would throw out there a wierd problem I am also having that seems (?) related to see if anyone has had a similar problem.
A brief recap:...I have TMJD which caused my facial muscles to be tight and my jaw disc to misalign. It has much improved after treatment from a TMJ spec and PT. But after this happened in April I went on a plane with a cold and was dx with Hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound) and tinnitus. Around this same time I noticed an off and on vibration/echo in my left ear. My ENT suspects PET.
Well, as if that wasn't enough..I have this wierd thing that is hard to explain. I feel a tugging/pulling sensation in the back of my nose and it seems that my R ear tugs at the same time as this sensation. My throat feels like it is tightening up. (although I have anxiety from all this and I am sure my throat muscles are tight anyway). It seems that when I put my head down it is more noticeable. I know...bizarre, right?
I wonder if a Patulous e-tube/s could cause that? I wondered if it may be the muscles around my nose or the muscles of forehead that could be in spasm but it seems odd since I feel it behind my nose.
It is very irritating to say the least. It is so hard to explain. Has anyone experienced this? I see another ear specialists after X-mas...pray he has an answer!!
