Ringing Ear (Tinnitus) Side Effect

hey all im new to this forum but i am on many different forums

I went on citalopram for a week 10mg then on day 8 and 9 went to 20mg
i got ringing right away and when i went to 20mg it went extremly loud and i went to the doctor and was told its a common side effect so i went off and it pretty much went away and came back

it has been 3 months now and i have lost much sleep due to this and feel myself going into a deep depression that my life will never be the same

its been 3 months of pure hell, but there was a week or 2 in the begining when i went off it that it actually went away and i didnt hear it, but its just there and feels like it wont go away...some people tell me it has taken 6-7 months or a year or 2

anyone else on here have this but from a anti-depressent? I was on a week

anyways im new please let me know...
