Tinnitus relief?

I've had fibromyalgia and tinnitus since 2006. The majority of the time I have been able to ignore the ringing in my ears. Lately though it seems to be getting louder...or at least I THINK it is. Maybe I'm just more aware of it right now.

I used to wear a night guard for my TMJ that seemed to help the ringing somewhat. I have been without it for a year though as it's now broken and I can't afford the 800+ in dental fees to have a new one made. I'm trying to hold out until October when medical benefits go into effect for my spouse and I can get coverage through his insurance.

Just curious if anyone has any tips out there about other methods that can help to calm the ringing? I have read that ginkgo biloba can be beneficial but I have also read that taking ginkgo along with amitriptyline (which I take daily) can increase risk of seizures but my doc doesn't seem to be too concerned about that. Thoughts??

Re: Tinnitus relief?

craniosacral therapy can relieve both tinnitus and tmj disorder symptoms.
