Whistle in my right ear
I have a high pitch whistle that started in early August. No I did not go to a heavy metal concert...no, I do not work in a noisy area....I play on a worship team at my local church, but that's about all I really do.
I have had an MRI, which showed an 8 mm polyp or cyst. The doctor said it's too small to operate (take out of my sinus cavity).
I have also had an utrasound of my thyroid glands under my chin. Didn't show anything weird.
This noise - It is always and only in my right ear. When I wake up it's barely there. By dinnertime it is usually SCREAMING. That's how it goes pretty much every day. The doctor I've seen says it's tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and just "live with it." Having a hard time with that, because it is nearly unbearable in the evenings.
In addition, when this started I developed a dull pain above my right ear, and under my right ear just below my jaw line. (Again, according to the MRI, it showed nothing in my head...and the MRI didn't go low enough to see my neck area).
I keep thinking it's allergy related, as I have a problem with allergies.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.
