No inflammation seen

I've been having problems with my bladder. I had a cystoscopy done. She did not see any inflammation just a small polyp. Can you have mild IC without inflammation? Also it felt like she wiped the entrance of the vagina opening. Is the vagina opening suppose to be wiped also before they insert the scope?

Yes you can have IC with a normal cystoscopy or whatever. I never had one bc I opted out of it. I have heard it can flare you more than anything and I didn't want to deal with that. I have given myself a diagnosis of IC mainly based on symptoms and lack of anything else causing my pain. I've had it since 2004.
