Miracle Tea for IBS-C!!! - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

Hey everyone,
For several months I have had IBS with constipation. Nothing worked including, Miralax, Zelnorm, etc etc. I would have to get colonics done weekly to get rid of the constipation but after a few days, my symptoms would start up again..not going to the bathroom and extream bloating even from liquids. I got this tea called 'Get Regular Tea' from 'Yogi Tea' and it has worked miracles! Ever since I used it I am never constipated and my prescription zelnorm works. (I use to take 3 Zelnorm and no results!) I take the tea before I go to bed and when I wake up I go. It takes about 6 hours every time. I am now a true believer of natural remedies and think that the ingredients in the tea are what does the trick..senna leaf, peppermint, licorice and others.
You can get this kind of tea at a health food store or Whole Foods market!

Hey there, my mom is on the same medications as you are, but a lot of the time she'll be so constipated that she throws up because she can't hold any more food in her system they have done tons of colonosopies can't spell, and she just went ot get a checkup shes been using mirliax for a while now but nothign seems to be working, i have ibs also, i was diagnosed at a young age and im only 18 im starting to get the same symptons as my mom, so this tea really works? she loves tea and im trying everything to figure out if it will work or not.. it would be awsome!!! is there any more info you can give me on the tea? id appreciate it thanx!! i hope things stay good for you!!

If you have constipation and cannot go..I HIGHLY suggest a natural herbal tea like the one above.
Go to a store like Better Nutrition, Trader Joes, or Whole Foods (usually a health food store or an organic store) and look at their teas. They are called different names like 'get Regular Tea' or 'Smooth Move' tea. The one brand I have is a brand called Yogi tea. You are looking for ingredients such a senna, peppermint, etc. I heard some teas work and some don't. This one does! Slight cramping but not too bad.

When I was pregnant and constipated( I am always, but worse while pregnant), the obgyn told me to use Smooth Move tea. I was using it and I was going. That was 3 years ago...I may go back to using it again. I just can't stand it anymore. Stool hard as a rock!

Where can I get this mircale tea???? Im interested, sometimes I go to bed with that yucky feeling and wake up and I don't well y'kno til 4, I havn't tried medication yet, i'm set to start zelnorm tonight...
