I have noticed that after long sexual sessions my bowels are loose the next day. I have heard that of sex been to be irritating to the bowels(for people with ibs) and Im kinda wondering now that it is true. What has been your experience?

I thought that maybe I was just imagining it. I'm constipated most of the time, and it SEEMS like the only time I have relief is the "day after." Hmnn....

I have a problem having sex because it is painful, especially after orgasm. I have severe pain afterwards. I haven't noticed loose stools afterwards tho. But seems very possible to me. It is so strange everything that IBS can cause. Wish they would come up with help for our problem. May be there will be alot of others to share there problems and maybe helpful info.

i've experienced similar symptoms after sex. typically, it will be cramping, 'rumbling,' gas, and later on, loose stools. my guess is that it has to do with the rush of hormones released during and shortly after intercourse. there have been times when i've had to completely stop because of gas pain...it's not a good experience to go through and the impact on confidence is quite detrimental. best thing to do is make sure you are completely relaxed, you have a proper diet, and that you drink plenty of water.
