It sounds like you go to one doctor after another and they have nothing to say? Did your GI specialist not tell you that the problem was IBS? Can you not ask the GI specialist what it is and what he/she can do to help you? Or you can ask your GP if you did your exams with the GI through consultation with your GP - he/she should be able to find out what the GI specialist said they thought it was.
Usually if it is IBS, they can do something for you - at least mine prescribed me some dicetel, which worked fine for me for a while.
