I've always thought I've had IBS for about 5 years as when I got stressed I'd get a terrible stomach ache and have 2 rush 2 the loo a lot and I know it runs in my family. Caertain foods made me get it too. That I've learned how 2 control now by letting it flow out of my system which isn't so bad.

My new problem is that I went on a really low fat diet over the past week or so (having about 15 grams a day) and since Friday I've had terrible stomach pain lower down and had to rush to the loo a lot. Only this time the pain never stopped. I tried a peppermint pill, toast, hot water bottle, hot ribena, goin 2 the loo, everything I knew to try stop it but it wouldn't. Its going through phases where it'll relax a bit & not feel so bad and then it'll be back again. I can't lie down which is a problem when it comes to sleeping, though I did manage to last night by propping myself. It almost went today as I relaxed more but it came back a few hours ago though its stated to wear off again after I had a pill, toast and hot Ribena.

I may make an appointment with a doctor, but the last time I went (I saw 2 different doctors) which was when I had my normal IBS which I can control, they said nothing was wrong. I'm worried they'll say the same thing again if I go now & I don't know if I'd last 5 minutes outside without being near a bathroom.

Does anyone know any ways I may be able 2 cure this permanently? I can't stand the pain anymore.
