Yes, i would like to know this answer also, i get chest pains, and was wondering if IBS could also cause this, i googled it and some say it is a symptom of ibs--would be nice to hear if someone else experiences this
I actually have the same problem. I find that after I go to the bathroom I actualy have a small panic attack. It happens to me when I am at work or outside my house. My chest feels very heavy. You are not alone!!
Yesterday morning I woke up around 6:15 am. I went and got a cup of coffee, as usual, drank it and went to my room to begin getting ready for work. Shortly, around 6:35 or so, my lower abdomen started hurting. I was laying in the fetal position on my bed at 7am. hurting so badly, I was sure that I was dying. I ended up late for work, got there around 8:30am. From 7-8 am I was in the most horrendous pain...alot of noise, pain, and more pain. I finally got to work...still hurting in my gut. That pain subsided, but begin an agina type pain in my chest area. By the end of the day, it was on my right side up near my shoulder. Needless to say, yesterday was horrible. I had to get home and take some advil to relieve that pain. Woke up this am, drank a cup of coffee, felt great.
This kind of thing happens often with me. I have IBS-C....and I have a rough time with it. I honestly believe that the coffee started me on a backwards round of severe indigestion. That is the chest pain that I have.
i just got diagnosed with IBS, and i actually started getting chest pains a little while after i was having problems with my stomach, i thought it was my kidneys at first, but to answer your question, yes i get chest pains, they come and go, i thought that was anxiety though, and i was taking xanax, but it wasn't going away...so i knew something else was wrong...
I get chest pains too. Although, I am able to calm it most of the time - still it feels like heart trouble - I think it is just heart burn. It causes sweating in the area - a pounding feeling in my head and pain in the left arm - all signals that there are heart problems - but they could be just anxiety causing a similar reaction - the pain in my arm doesn't mimic heart trouble though. It doesn't last very long for me... I usually manage to find another way out of it. (visualisation)
I have experienced chest pain, anxiety and IBS and it turns out it is Lyme disease and Babesiosis, a tick born coinfection. The IBS was how it all started. I also had severe dizziness. It has settled into my chest at this point - my heart has been palpitating at times. I will start treatment in a couple weeks since I have to treat an overgrowth of bacteria in my small intestine first.
I get chest pains as well--I was wondering if it's to do w/ IBS since I get this "Heartburn" feeling after eating stuff that won't cause HB like milk and cookies.
What could that be from??

I get really bad chest pains also. It is like an extreme pressure and I feel like it is hard to breathe. I mostly have IBS-C and if it is relieved the chest pains go away immediately.
I also have FMS/ MPS so it is hard to know what pain is linked to what??!!
I have been having a really bad time with it lately and it is frustrating...is the IBS causing more Fibro pain or is the Fibro causing more IBS problems.
Has anyone out there done a colon cleansing? Curious if it helps.
