Does anyone have SHARP stomach pain with IBS? - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

I seem to have all the symptoms of IBS, but my stomach pain is sharp, like an ulcer. Does anyone have these type of pains? Is the pain more prevalent in the morning?

Also,is anyone's IBS pain greater when sitting down?

Hi Kevin

Yes I get sharp stomach pain with my IBS. They can be awful. They kept me up all night Christmas Eve. Peppermint Tea, Ginger Tea and a Tea called Tummy mint helps me allot. Also heat helps me but I know a person who it just makes things worse for. I use a heating pad but have heard a hot water bottle works well too. You can try it.
