Thanks a lot for your reply.
Did anything actually help to control the cramps and pain. Did the Ibs have any affect on your baby?. |
Glad I could help! No, there was not really anything that they could do to help with the pain. The Dr. just said that as long as I got plenty of fluids & was not losing any weight, there was nothing more they could do for me. They told me that for diarrhea I could take Imodium (I think that was what they said I could have. Don't quote me. Check with your Dr. I can't remember exactly, but it seems like it was Imodium). As for the constipation they said to drink plenty of fluids, go out for a walk & there was some kind of suppository I could have, but I didn't need it. Of course check with your Dr. before using any meds. As for the pain, lots of water helped. Water helps get your stomach juices flowing & so does a little excercise. Tylenol helped with the pain when I just couldn't pass a BM, not a whole lot. My Dr. also said that if the cramps were not relieved from passing gas or having a BM & seemed to get worse to go get checked out, because it could be contractions. There were no affects on my baby. My Dr. said as long as I drank plenty of water & did not get dehydrated or lose weight, the baby would be fine. Good Luck & take care!
