Weakness After BM? - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

Hi everyone
Does anyone here end up weak and in stomach pain AFTER having a bowel movement? A lot of times I will start to feel weak and lightheaded right before a BM and then afterwards I feel more weak, lightheaded and I have stomach pain and burning ... Anyone else get this? If so have you mentioned it to your doctor and what was the response? I haven't told my doctor all this in depth detail because well he's a He to begin with and he's alot younger than I am and I feel funny discussing it...

I have weakness and am in pain before and after BMs as well, and my doctor just brushed it off as part of the IBS. He's like, thats a symptom of IBS and dropped it. IBS has so many symptoms, everyone with IBS is different and thats the sad part.

I have that too - I feel sickly and break into a sweat right before a BM and then after I have to lay down....I haven't talked to a doc about it - but I am suspicious that it's a combo of my IBS with adhesions caused by a major abdominal surgery I had years ago - do either of you have endometriosis or adhesions??
