i have some symptoms of ibs, including around 3 passages a day, mucus in feces, and abdominal discomfort. However, I am a homosexual man and have been wondering if anal sex can cause ibs. I am really scared that the bowel changes could be because of something else. Does sex commonly trigger IBS?

OK well, I have had IBS for about 14 years now, and I am dealing with it day to day. Not once have I ever noticed sex making a diference (I am a female). But the mucus in your stool can be a symptom, just so you know.
