sore tummy - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

Im getting worried that something is wrong. I suffer with ibs and over the last day or so ive gotten a real soreness mid abdomen. It feels like ive done 100 sit ups (which i havent). I havent lifted anything heavy etc, but it feels like a muscular ache rather than the usual cramping.
Could this just be another ibs symptom?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
ps im a very anxious person, so im wondering if its caused by tensing my stomach to much.

i have high anxiety and i throw up alot from nerves. when i do my stomach muscles hurt so baddly i cant stand it. plus i think i rip muscles in my chest areas cause those hurt realy bad to. try some exlax and get all the stowel out give it a couple of days and see where it goes.

ps i forgot to tell you, anxiety can cause IBS.

This has been an on/off problem for a long time, ive had investigations done and the only diagnoisis has been ibs.
i have no problems 'going', never constipated, mainly loose (sorry tmi).
Its driving me mad, i feel like i cant relax my stomach at all. I take an anti-spasmodic 3 times a day, even that doesnt help much anymore.
Im sure alot of it is anxiety related.
