IBS linked to urinary troubles? - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

Well, lately I have been having tons and tons of stomach problems.. almost to the point where I swear to god it is impossible to be having so many different symptoms every day. I am VERY VERY VERY anxiety prone, I do have an untreated case of GED and depression...I have been looking up symptoms of my stomach problems and being me, I am always worried I have some fatal illness (still think I do but then again I know I am also a hypochondriac mind you)....I am coming to the conclusion that what I have is ibs. I still am not sure. I have had, non stop gas, horrible acid reflux, bowel problems (constiptation/diarrhea) also my stomach had makes these loud odd bubbling sounds as if there is constant gas floating in there even though it causes me no pain...(if any of these things hit home please let me know so I can ask my docotor more about it) but lately I have been also experienceing urinary problems. Nothing too big, just sometimes I feel like I have to go even when I just went to the bathroom. Usually right after I pee, it feels like I still have to. I have read that these 2 things can be linked. I think its called IUS which is the urniary equivilant to IBS. Anybody have this?

I thought I was the only one who had urinary problems. I have had IBS for at least 15 years and have also had to urinate more often than anyone else I know, especially at night. It wakes me up, and I will get up 4 or 5 times and consequently I do not sleep properly. It did improve when I took colpermin, but this made my stomach feel tight and uncomfortable, so I had to stop it. This was then followed by an attack of nervous stomach and anxiety, which took 4 days to return to even bearable. Now of course I am back to regular urination. Has anyone any tips on how to stop going so often, especially at night?
