Something is finally helping with my diarrhea! - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

I found some info that led me to try probiotics along with L-Lysine. I was having diarrhea every day, along with a horrible taste in my mouth, for 1 1/2 months. I started taking enteric coated probiotics with 4.4 billion live organisms along with a 500mg. capsule of L-Lysine. For the first two days I took it in the morning, about an hour before eating, and in the evening right before bed. Now I'm taking it just in the morning. I've not had diarrhea for 5 straight days!! So far it's helping, just wanted to let anyone with the same problem know.

I take prebio7 and within 7 days of taking these my BM's were definately less runny (TMI) and my stomach is not so bloated. The only other med I take for the IBS are peppermint capsules 1/2 hour before food. Still not cured, but feeling better.
