There are a number of conditions that can cause that inflam. Infection & celiac disease are 2 that come to mind in addition to what you've mentioned. There are several varieties of colitis ... and probably other things, I'm not an expert. Celiac disease I am quite familiar with. 97% of the celiacs in the USA are undiagnosed! Untreated it can be very nasty in the long run, but treatment (special diet) is very
helpful. I have a friend with both celiac & microscopic colitis DX. However, she has made great progress & is hardly ever sick any more.
Please don't worry too much. These conditions are treatable/manageable. Kudos to you for getting actual testing done! Too many docs just say ... it's IBS, live with it. IME inflam in the ileum is not likely "just" IBS.
