Welcome Stephie! I know how you feel. After suffering "alone" for so many years, it's been a Godsend to find these message boards. I find myself thinking about these wonderful people often during the course of my days (especially when I am in pain!) and feeling comforted just knowing there are others like me! I have also found it edifying to read the testimonies of so many people who have treated this dreadful syndrome with many of the same remedies I have used over the years. I used to feel so guilty when I was younger about taking laxatives to go or cancelling appointments because I was in pain. Just knowing that others have had these same experiences has really made a world of difference for me!
