Advice on Sitz Marker test experience - Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Message Board

Hi everyone,

I'm scheduled for a Sitz Marker test soon. My Gi doc wrote the prescription for xrays on day 0 and day 5. When I called to schedule the test, the tech said to double check with the doc because they typically take an xray on day 3, then day 5 if needed. I did check with the doc and he's sticking with just a day 5 xray.

How may xrays and at what days did you have to get them for this test? I've read where some people get them every day until the markers are fully passed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My doctor just ordered this test for me as well and my xrays are scheduled for days 1, 3, & 5. However, I suppose some doctors feel they can get the information they are looking for with just day 1 or day 5 xrays. Your doctor should know what he is doing.
