| Ibs??
For the past few months I have been having the following symptoms. They started getting worse over the last few weeks.
I used to be constipated all the time. I added fiber to my diet, not as much as the bottle recommended, and the constipation eased up a bit. A few weeks ago I started have soft stools. I was so relieved because there was no need to strain for anything to come out. My relief ended last week when the constipation came back. Then the soft stools came back and then then the constipation came back.
Today has been horrible with the soft stool. I have to go to the bathroom every two hours. As soon as I sit on the toilet I start hearing rumbling in my stomach and butt. Not a whole lot comes out and it is not watery, but there is soft stool. Along with the stool is light brown flakes and mucus. Sometimes the mucus is clear and other times it is brown.
People around me have been saying the I do have IBS, but I haven't actually been to the doctor because of money issues. My diet has changed for the better in the past few months, or so I thought. I have also had a lot of stress in my life for the past few weeks and I have a feeling that it is only going to get worse.
Does this sound like IBS to any of you? I know I need to see a doctor to get a definite diagnosis, but money is a bit of a problem at the moment. Any advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
