 Going On Lontonex: Need Feedback
Hi I have been suffering fro IBS ''D" for over 39 years Previously it was episodic and mostly Fibro/food related. Three years I had a bad bout boutof E-Coi which ruined my lower tract and my D became permanent I have tried everything from Natural remedies ie Calcium,Soy ,Charcol Fiber etc to Meds like Lotmotil and Immodum They no longer work N othing seems to stop the Diarrhea.I am now virtually housebound .My Gasentrologist told meI essentially don't have a life and suggested thatI try Lotronex .I fit all he criteria. I am well aware of the side effects and am willing to risk it. I also have Deep Vein Thrombosis (I form Blood Clots ) and this is alo a red flag for me not to take the drug. The Gastro said the risk is low though and last night my Internist also said it was allight for me to take it. I would like to know if anybody here is on Lononex now and how you are doing? Also if anyone has been on it in the past I would like to kno what your experience wih it were were Did it help, side effcts etc Thanks so much Rose
